At the last Visit Sunshine Coast Network meeting I met up with Shirley Dodt Director of Sales Aqua Duck and I took the opportunity to educate her about what Lions do for the community and recommended that they may wish to advertise in our Lion Hunter Magazine.
Through Shirley’s advocacy Lions Members have been given an 15% discount on an Amphibious (Land and Water) Mooloolaba River Cruise.
Aqua Duck invited me to come along on there 10.30 cruise on the 30th of January 2021. They have recently started operation on the Sunshine Coast in late 2019 but have been servicing the Gold-Coast community since 1996. They are members of Visit Sunshine Coast.
It can take up to 28 passengers. There were about 20 today including several children.
I was greeted by smiling staff Thomas the Captain, Lindsay Captain in training and Kanni Tour guide
Safety and being Covid 19 friendly are a high priority being sanitised on arrival and advised of emergency procedures.
Kanni along with Aqua Duck provided a fun interactive commentary spliced with Thomas’s input
Sharing their knowledge of Mooloolaba’s history, culture, geography, sights, and wildlife that is fun and interactive.
Aqua Duck gave us all the opportunity to see close -Point Cartwright, Fish Market and Fishing Trawlers-Mooloolaba River and Wildlife-Minyama area- Canals and Waterways lined with Wildlife and Mega Mansions.
On the way back the Kids were able to drive the Duck back for which they were each issued a certificate. No matter what age you are you will have a fun filled time
I can certainly recommend this wonderful river adventure to my fellow Lions members and the community.
