AQUADUCK SAFARIS – ACCESS STATEMENT

At Aquaduck Safaris, we aim to ensure every guest has an enjoyable and memorable experience. We are committed to creating an inclusive environment and will always do our best to accommodate the needs of all visitors.

This accessibility statement outlines our facilities and services so you can decide if our experience is suitable for your requirements.

Getting Here

Our office located at the corner of Cavill and Ferny Avenue in the heart of Surfers Paradise

By Public Transport

  • Bus: Take the bus to the Surfers Paradise bus stop (StopID 300050). We are on the opposite side of the road on the corner, across from 50 Cavill Avenue
  • Tram (G:Link): You can also use Gold Coast G-Link (tram) and get off at the Cavill Avenue Station stop #14, then walk down Cavill Avenue. We are on the bottom right-hand corner of the street.

By Car

  • The closest public car park is under the Mantra Circle on Cavill where there are four accessible parking spaces on the top floor, we are able to give free two-hour parking in this garage.
  • There are more public parking with twelve accessible parking spaces at the Bruce Bishop car park. It is located on the corner of Beach Road and Ferny Avenue, Surfers Paradise.

Go to the Aquaduck shop to check in. It is located the corner of Cavill and Ferny Avenue.

Aquaduck Cavill

Check-in first at the Aquaduck shop located at Circle on Cavill shopping centre.

The car park is one street south of our departure point in Cavill Avenue. Take the Beach Road exit from the car park, cross the road and go through the arcade and park and you will be on Cavill Avenue. Our departure point is approximately 50 metres to the right.

Go to the Aquaduck shop to check in.  It is located at the Circle on Cavill Shopping Centre.

The Experience

The Aquaduck departs from Cavill Avenue.

The crew will direct boarding in seating order. The crew can assist with boarding if required.

There are six steep steps up with rope grabrails for support. The first step is 30cm from the footpath, then each following step is 28cm high and 24cm deep.

Once at the top, there is a 18cm step down into the seating area.

Seating is allocated so you will be able to sit with your companions.

Once all guests are on-board your crew will give you a safety brief to prepare you for your ride.

Mobility aids such as wheelchairs and prams are not able to go on the Aquaduck. We will happily take care of them for you until you return.

Service animals are welcome on board.

There is audio commentary throughout the trip. Speakers are mounted along both sides of the vehicle.

We can provide additional commentary to people with vision impairment or written commentary for those with hearing impairment.

The Aquaduck has a loud engine and is open to the wind. Some seats along the side may also be affected by sea spray.

We are happy to work with you to ensure you thoroughly enjoy your experience.

Amenities

There are public accessible toilets at the Circle on Cavill. Access to these facilities is to the right of the Woolworths Supermarket. There are no amenities onboard the Aquaduck.
